Parent Statement
Acalanes Union High School District Parent Organizations of Acalanes, Campolindo, Las Lomas & Miramonte High Schools
We parents of the Acalanes Union High School District join together to foster a safe and healthy community for our children.
- We acknowledge our responsibility for the well being of all children in our community.
- We support and encourage open communication among parents.
- We will continue to educate ourselves to the realities of our children's social world.
- We will consciously try to be positive role models for our children.
- We will continue to be actively involved in our children's lives.
- We will not permit the use of alcohol/drugs by our young people.
- We will not serve alcohol/drugs to adults at student-centered activities.
- We will be actively present and supervise all student gatherings in our homes.
- We support children being held accountable for their own actions.
- We support and encourage enforcement of school contracts with students for extra-curricular activities.
- We encourage recognition of young people demonstrating positive behavior.
- We support more fun and healthy activities in our community.
- We ask teachers, coaches and other adults to respond pro-actively to behaviors that put our children at risk.
- We support all parents and adults in their efforts to make our community a good place for children to grow up.
