School Nurse
The Nurse’s Office is located in A Hall through the Attendance Office. The School Nurse is a registered nurse with specialized training in school health. Students who become ill while at school are to report to the Nurse’s Office or if the Nurse is unavailable they should go to the Attendance Office.
Students must sign in and out with the School Nurse or Attendance Office before leaving campus in case of injury or illness.
If a student needs to go to the Nurse’s Office, he/she should obtain a pass from the teacher to go to the Nurse or the Attendance Office.
Vision & Hearing
Periodic testing of vision and hearing is provided for all students. The Nurse is also available as a resource person for special classroom work. Parents are encouraged to call the Nurse regarding any health problems of their son or daughter.
Injuries
No matter how slight the injury a Student Injury Report must be completed at the time of the injury. Forms are available in the Nurse’s Office or the Attendance Office.
Absences
Once a student has had 14 absences in the school year for illness, any further absences must be verified by a physician.
